According to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), effective December 1, 2016, registrars are required to impose a 60-day transfer lock following any change to a registrant's information. This restriction prevents the transfer of a domain to another registrar for 60 days after modifications to the registrant's Name, Organization, or Email fields within the domain's contact record.

Don't worry! We have opted you out of this transfer lock by default before you change your contact information. You can check this from your account:

1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
2. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and then click "Contact Records" in the drop-down.
3. Locate the contact record you wish to edit and click the Pencil icon beside the name in the Name/Email section.
4. You will be prompted to unlock your account.
5. Once your account is unlocked, click the Pencil icon again to edit the contact record.
6. On the editing page, find the "Contact Info" section and click on "IRTP Info" at the bottom.
7. You will see the option to "Opt Out of 60 Day Transfer Lock" there.

Note: The opt-out option applies only to contact information changes and does not override the mandatory 60-day transfer lock following a new domain registration or a completed domain transfer.
