• Is the domain I won in the Expired Auction renewed?

  Yes, the expiration date is extended by one year when you win a domain through our Expired Auction. For instance, if the domain expired on February 1, 2018, the new expiration date would be February 1, 2019.

• If I win a domain in the Expired Auction, does the creation date change?

  No, the creation date for a domain won in our Expired Auction would not change as it is not a newly registered domain, meaning it was not released from the central registry and registered as a brand-new registration. For instance, if a domain was registered (created) on February 1, 2015, the creation date would remain February 1, 2015.

• How do I place a bid on an Expired Domain Auction?

  Find your next great domain in our Expired Domain Auctions! To place a bid in the Expired Auctions, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Find the domain you want to bid on in our Expired Auctions in the Aftermarket section of our site. Click on the domain name itself or the "Bid Now" button. In the price box, enter the proxy bid amount and click on the "Place Bid" button. Click on the "Confirm" button on the pop-up window to confirm your bid and that you will pay for this auction if you win. NOTE: There are some requirements to participate in our Expired Domain Auctions. Winning a domain in our Expired Auctions does not guarantee that your order will not be cancelled. If a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of the auction, the auction time will be extended for another 5 minutes. There is no limit to the number of times an auction may be extended before the auction's final "end time" is set.
