Yes. Although the .APP domain does not have any restrictions on who can register it, it does have a restriction for those who want to build a website.

The .APP domain is a more secure domain. For this reason, HTTPS is required for all .APP websites. What this means is, you must have an SSL certificate in order for your .APP website to resolve properly in a web browser. You can purchase an SSL certificate on our SSL page.
