Not happy with Dynadot hosting
2/8/2011 00:36
Hi there,

I have subscribed to your 1-year basic hosting but I am not so happy with the service. I'd like to refund and use the credit for future orders.

Please also advise what I should do to change to another hosting.

Thanks,
Jacqueline

You wouldn't mind tell us what problems you were having -- perhaps some people here could be of assistance? Is that too much to ask? Historically (as in the whole world) 95% of all computer problems are user-based. Most of this is inadequate teaching or training directions. I have found Dynadot to be one of the best registrars in the world -- but one has to learn how to communicate what problems one is having if you are really interested in getting things going. Before running to somewhere else where you will pay more and get less, what exactly were you trying to do? What stopped you?

Hello,

Have you emailed us regarding your issue?  This is typically the best way to reach us rather than our forums.

It looks like you may have a DNS configuration problem.  Please follow these steps:

My domain is registered at Dynadot and I also use your Email plan. How do I configure my domain to my Email package?

To use your Email plan, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and then click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down.
  3. Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Action" button.
  4. Choose "Email Settings" from the "Action" list.
  5. Select "Dynadot Email Hosting" from the list of choices (we no longer sell new Advanced Hosting plans).
  6. Press the "Save Email Settings" button to save your changes.
  7. You should now see "Dynadot Email Hosting" listed alongside your domain on the "Manage Domains" in your Dynadot account.

Please be aware that it might take some time for your name server changes to propagate.

From Help Section: Account & Domain Management > Name Server Settings > My domain is registered at Dynadot an...
