I want a new domain to exist as a separate site all on it's own but using the same hosting. I don't want redirection. How do I accomplish this goal? What are the steps? Is this even possible?

Yes, it is possible.  Your Advanced Hosting package can serve multiple domains.  You'll just need to add them in cPanel:
